There are a number of smaller industries in the region. Some of these include tourism, hospitality, brewing, and retail. The region also hosts a large number of prestigious colleges and universities, such as Edinburgh University, St Andrews University and the Royal Scottish Academy.

Major Operators

Another major industry in the region is telecommunications. Fife’s three major mobile operators, Vodafone, O2 and T-Mobile, are based in the region, as are several other network providers.

The Fife region is renowned for its beautiful beaches, especially those found on the east coast. The region is dotted with quaint fishing villages, such as Dysart Harbour and West Wemyss, and there are plenty of places to choose from for a great day out by the sea.

The region has a long history of music, including the Fife Pipe Band and a string orchestra called the “Fife Chamber Orchestra”. There is also an amateur choir called the Fife Singers.
